According to http://www.kipi-plugins.org/drupal/, kipi-plugins 0.1.5 is out.
It has some features I'd like to try. Can this be installed into my existing
F8 system, or would all the apps need to be rebuilt (e.g., digikam)?

Sure, the new kipi-plugins should work with any existing kipi-aware app
(including digikam).

Correction, it is kipi-plugins-0.1.5-beta1 only.

built for f8, pushed to kde-redhat/unstable. (previous releases are
missing build deps atm, libkdcraw in particular).
