I noticed with the 3.5.7 release on fc6 that I no longer had the 'META INF'
tab when viewing file properties from konq. Have since upgraded to fc7.
Same again. Any ideas on how to get this functionality back?
Answering my own question ....

We need kfile_mp3. I'm guessing this should be built as part of
kdemultimedia-extras-nonfree. Patch attached.

Regards

Oh crud, I think I always intended on pushing that part back into (fedora's)
kdemultimedia, since it only involves meta-data and not decoding, but never
actually got round-tuit.

OK, fixed builds are in the works for FC-6, F-7, devel.

In short, include kfile_mpeg in kdemultimedia-extras (FC-6),
kdemultimedia (F7+) and update kdemultimedia-extras-nonfree to omit
kfile_mpeg.

yum update on Fedora 7 gave me this:

--> Processing Dependency: kdemultimedia3 >= 3.5.7 for package:
kdemultimedia-extras-nonfree
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Missing Dependency: kdemultimedia3 >= 3.5.7 is needed by package
kdemultimedia-extras-nonfree

huh? kdemultimedia3?

The new kdemultimedia-3.5.7-2.fc2 is in updates-testing, and it
Provides: kdemultimedia3
