F7/kde-3.5.8/gnome applets..

So, the lastest update to F7 turned on several Gnome applets, that I do
not want running; mainly puplet, sealert, and the gnome bluetooth manager.

How do I turn these off, so they do not startup? I have yet to find a
way other than killing them by hand after everytime I log in..

thanks!

Ok, for some reason, all of sudden the files in /etc/xdg/autostart are
now active. I've renamed that directory to something else.

This did not work until I updated to KDE-3.5.8

Was there a bug fix applied?

Ok, now how do I turn these stupid applets off?

bluetooth-applet - kde-bluetooth works
esc.desktop - no thanks, no need
krb5-auth-dialog - again, not needed.
puplet - no thanks, I'll run yum when needed.
redhat-print-applet
sealertauto - another time waster

user-dirs-update-gtk - the only one with OnlyShowIn stanza.

What is irritating is I end up with blank spaces in the task bar from
these apps.

Do I make a copy of them into ~/.config/autostart, and disable them?

Is there something I can run to automatically disable them?

thanks
thomas

separate (gtk2) bug. (Can't find the reference right now, I can dig it up,
if you want. fwiw, it's fixed in f8+ already).

That should work.

Don't think so. IMO, it should be easier to disable at least some of these
(short of removing the affected pkgs).

So, I went in an added the line 'OnlyShowIn=GNOME;' to the desktop files
in /etc/xdg/autostart, and presto, they are gone from the KDE desktop.

thanks!
