I am having a problem with KDE 3.5.6 on FC6/FC7 live CDs.

When I right click on the desktop and then click away without choosing an
option I get a black hole in the desktop wallpaper so far I have only seen
this on NVIDIA cards (GeForce FX6200 and 8600GTS) with either OSS or binary
drives. GNOME and XFCE are fine. I have tried OpenSUSE 10.2 ( updated to
3.5.6) and Kubuntu 7.04 and these have no problems. I have reported this as
a bug but it has been stalled due to lack of reproducibility. I have asked
questions on Nvidia's forums but no response there. I can't believe I am
the only one to see this as I have tried two diverse systems:

AMD Athlon XP 2500 Asus A8nx MB Geforce FX6200
Intel core 2 duo intel DG965WH MB 8600GTS

Both of these systems exhibit this behavior.

Any help is appreciated.

Here is the bugzilla:

Something similar has been happening to me also, but using Intel onboard
graphics.

GNOME and XFCE are fine.
Did not test these.

To me it happens very sporadically, no more than once a week. Even less as of
late.

Mine is a Core 2 Duo on an Intel motherboard (965 chipset). Maybe this rules
out the graphics board.
