Hi,
Are we going to have RPM's for KDE-4.1.1 here in kde-redhat?
Or is kde-redhat suffering from the infrastructure issue too?
Thanks,
Orcan

Probably not, we'll likely go the usual fedora-testing route. Let's
wait-n-see.

Prereq: kde-4.1.1 builds are happening in fedora's buildsys today.
other members of the kde-sig are working on it, and should be done
within a day or 2.

My prediction is that the kde-4.1.0 update will finally be pushed to
stable, and our new kde-4.1.1 builds will show up in updates-testing by
the weekend or early next week.

Sigh.... I understand... Time issues, but I miss kde-redhat.org.
It's less of a time issue, but I don't want to see folks using
kde-redhat as a crutch instead of using fedora's official repos which
has the same content.

I'll continue to use kde-redhat when/if it makes sense, but using it to
preemptively host fedora content isn't one of those cases, imo.

Not sure if I missed a comment, but will kdepim4 now be from the Fedora repo's
for F9.

Repeat after me:
kdepim4 is F10+ only.
kdepim4 is F10+ only.
kdepim4 is F10+ only.

:)

That said, it will continue to be available in kde-redhat/unstable for F-9.

Not using it as a crutch. kde-redhat lets me use and test the latest greatest
kde when compiled against Everything and Updates without having to use fedora-
testing on production computers. And there does seem to be some important
fixes in kde 4.1.1

Fwiw, I can confirm kde-4.1.1 landed in updates-testing yesterday.

I'm doing kdeutils/kdepim-4.1.1 F-9 builds for unstable now, to appear
shortly.

Thanks for the info Rex. But it still doesn't help me much as I will not be
adding updates-testing to my sources.list.d as I don't want to upgrade the
packages on my computers with testing software.

Yes, both kdeutils-4.1.1-1.fc9.1 and kdepim-4.1.1-1.fc9 should be in
kde-redhat/unstable now, you'll need those to avoid conflicts.

Thanks Rex,

All seems to be working well, I will put 4.1.1 through its paces today :)

Thanks! :-) I was hoping you hadn't forgotten. I know that f10ß is just around
the corner, so this is a lot of work for a short-term reward.
