Might as well spam^H^H^H err, fyi folks here too. Here's a copy of what
I just sent to fedora-list:

------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to give a word of warning (and spread hype. :) )

A kde-4.1-rc2 update is queued for release to fedora 9's updates-testing
repository. It is meant for testing the upcoming KDE 4.1 release and to
filter last-minute bugs. Please help test and offer feedback.

http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/F9/FEDORA-2008-6743

kde-4.1 (final) is scheduled for release on July 29, and subsequent
fedora updates will come shortly after.

Thanks Dieter and the rest of the KDE team. I hold back my update to F9
because I felt KDE 4.0 to be to raw but regularly played around with
kde4daily. I think 4.1 will rock.

Could you suggest a procedure to update an (up-to-date) F9 x86_64 box for this
test?

yum --enablerepo=updates-testing update
If you mean 'updates-testing' is the fedora (not kde-redhat) repo, this would
pull in a lot of unrelated stuff. I don't want to try that. How about
something to get only kde4.1-related updates?

No safe way to cherry-pick stuff here. I *may* find time to pull stuff
from updates-testing into kde-redhat/testing, but time to do that is
days away.

OK, I caved. Turns out this wasn't all that hard to script, so I'm
dl'ing stuff now, and if all goes well, should be available in
kde-redhat/testing sometime later today.

Hi Rex

This is great

I see the files in the testing repo, but when I try to upgrade, apt-get wants
to downgrade from Fedora's repo.

Yep, files aren't done landing, and I lied. I don't plan on flipping
the bits on until after 4.1.0 is officially released tomorrow.

Sorry, floodgates here means I copied all the relevant bits to
kde-redhat/testing. So simply enable that repo, and: yum update

And, for bonus, (re)built kdepim-4.1.0 , and that is (still) in
kde-redhat/unstable.
