Uhh Rex?

A really dumb question (Redhat restriction) about a really very very minor
annoyance.

Where are the country flags for keyboard layout?

Eli

Hmmmm?

They are being dropped by the upstream projects. KDE 4, for example, does
not have them, I think that the same applies for Gnome. So it is not just a
matter of corporate policy.

Believe me (or not) but they can be a (political) problem in lots of places.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I know. But its still (place the most appropriate
non-diplomatic language that you can think of here). If Taiwan ever regions
mainland China and why would they want to since they are stil a Socialist
dictatorship. it will still have a flag. Can't we make the flags optional
some how, like in an extras file associated to the language file? Its a nice
decorative touch.

Omitted per:

That said, someone submitted a pkg to livna awhile back to contain these
bits, but it's still pending review:

It is actually a major annoyance when you use three keyboards on a daily basis
such as Danish German and English. The replacement for the flags is clearly
designed by people who only know one language and who do not have the need

There you go.

I guess when you need it but not regularly then its a minor annoyance. When
you need it regularly and its not there its a major annoyance.
